Coordinates of discovery near Salahnama island, and of sighting by Kusmin.

The aim of this article is solely to identify the latitude and longitude coordinates of these two events. Further details of both events can be found by online search. It is of course possible that these two events may be completely unrelated to each other.

It has been reported that in March 2014 a body was found in the Malacca Strait, in the waters near Salahnama island, which is off the coast of Batubara, Sumatra.
The coordinates are sourced from [1] and [2]:
03-19-48 LU 99-43-50 BT
and converted into degrees-minutes format:
3°19.8'N, 99°43.83'E

Seperately, it has been reported that in March 2014 fisherman Rusli Kusmin and his crewmates, from their fishing boat in the Malacca Strait, saw a plane flying low, emitting smoke, and entering the water.
The coordinates are sourced from a photo in [3]:
4°58.741'N, 98°41.741'E

The 2 positions are plotted on this map. The discovery near Salahnama island is about 217 km approximately south-east from the sighting by Kusmin.
